Under the Subscription tab, select Cancel Subscription

Before you cancel

Unlimited hearts, ad removal, and streak repair end, but your progress, XP, streak, and friends list stay intact — you can keep learning for free.

If you're the admin of a Family plan, cancelling ends the subscription for the whole group, so check with family members first. If your subscription is labeled 'Duolingo Plus,' that's just the old name (now Super) and cancellation works the same way.

You need to know your signup channel (web / Apple / Google) to cancel in the right place.
