Before you cancel
All Access bundles include Games, Cooking, Wirecutter and The Athletic, so cancelling the news subscription ends those too. If you only want to drop the news portion and keep Games or Cooking, that has to be arranged through customer support rather than the standard cancel flow.
A discounted offer usually appears partway through the cancellation steps, and stopping there means you haven't actually cancelled. If you genuinely want to leave, keep clicking past it to the final confirmation screen. If you'd rather stay at a lower price, that same screen is where the cheaper rate shows up. Also watch introductory pricing — promotional rates roll over to full price on a set date, and that date is in the fine print of the offer you accepted.
Online cancellation exists but is gated behind a retention offer, and availability of the online path varies by account and region.
Worth considering instead
Keep Games or Cooking only — Contact support to drop the news portion while keeping the cheaper standalone products
