- Go to account.microsoft.com/services and log in
- Find your Xbox Game Pass subscription (Ultimate/Premium/Essential, etc.)
- Click Manage, then Cancel subscription
- Skip past any plan-change or discount offers to reach the final confirmation
Refund policy
You may be eligible for a refund if you cancel within 30 days of your first purchase, or before your first recurring charge, whichever comes first. This refund right is limited to once per Microsoft account per subscription product. Prepaid codes just stop auto-renewing — the remaining balance isn't refunded.

Before you cancel
Access to the subscription-based game library ends. Cloud save data is kept, so you can pick up where you left off if you resubscribe.
You may be offered a discount or tier downgrade during cancellation. There's no cancel option inside the console or app itself — you must use a web browser at account.microsoft.com.
Commonly confuses people because you can't cancel from the console or app — a browser is required.
