How to cancel SiriusXM

1. Try the online chat first at siriusxm.com — log in, go to Help, then Chat, and type that you want to cancel
2. Reports are mixed on whether chat agents can complete it; roughly half get transferred to the phone team
3. If chat works, save or screenshot the full transcript as proof
4. If transferred, call the cancellation line (listed on their contact page) and expect a wait

Before you cancel

Satellite and app access both end at the close of your billing period. In-car service stops working, which catches people out if the subscription came bundled with a vehicle purchase.

Expect several rounds of discount offers before the cancellation is processed. A script that works: state that your decision is final and you're not interested in any offers, then repeat 'no thank you, please process the cancellation' to every counter-offer without explaining your reasons. Record the confirmation number and agent name, and check your next two card statements.
